Vasco Saltão was born in Lisbon in 1979, where he graduated from the School of Theatre and Cinema.

He has been working professionally in Cinema since 2002, on Script and Image, having worked with directors such as Leonor Noivo, Pedro Pinho, João Salaviza, Carlos Conceição, Filipa Reis e João Miller Guerra…

Rare Bird (Ave Rara) is his first filmas a director.
